Three Sons Windows

The Hub

Benjamin Tindall Architects

Responding to the brief, to bring sunshine into a dreich Edinburgh day Christian took inspiration from a glinting raindrop running down a window. Every piece of glass is kiln formed to create distortions and lenses that radiate light within the Dunard library. The large sheets of minimally distorted colourless glass look out to Edinburgh’s historic Old Town rooftops. The Three Sons Windows maximise the potential for creative expression in architecture whilst maintaining the function to look out upon a viewpoint and draw light in.
